Hello everyone
Taking a lunch break. I am so happy to report I am almost completely caught up. It took me 3 weeks to do almost 3 months worth of work. And my boss actually is being civil to me...sometimes down right cheerful!!! She hasn't actually said good job or thank you...but maybe her change of attitude is thanks enough. I do have a ton of clean up ahead of me now though...ugh
I have nothing going on today. Nothing exciting.
I will say that have been feeling more and more like myself everyday. And less and less sad and depressed. I am starting to enjoy myself and starting to be able to spend time alone and not feel sad. There are times when something will remind me of Chris and I get sad. But hey...baby steps.
I was invited to a 5K this weekend by a guy friend. I think he wants more but he knows I am not in that mind set right now. I accepted. I don't think my body is ready for 5K but I will try. So from now until this weekend I am in training mode!!! I think he is a good influence on me...LOL!!!
Dawn- how awesome for Liv. She reminds me of Amanda. She had lots of scholarships too. A big one from my old employer, that was renewable every year was nice. I can't remember how it was. I want to say it was $2000.
Nancy- It was nice hearing from you. You will HAVE to try to get on here more often.
Well I have to get back to work. See ya later.
Good morning Lisa and the rest of Illinois!
I was up early this morning to take my car in to be looked at. There is a clunking noise coming from the left front wheel. While I was coming home, Liv called VERY excited. It seems that she won a $ 2,500.00 scholarship that is renewable for all four years! That brings the total up to about $ 4,200 and it will really help. I am feeling very blessed.
I am working hard on products and getting things in order for the party. There will not be much right after the party as we have to go to South Carolina July 9th for Liv's orientation. It now looks like Todd will be staying home so Liv and I will go alone. that means we may be able to fly!
I have to get David from his job, then Liv and I are taking a good friend to see, "The Fault of Our Stars". Although we have seen it, she has not and we are willing to go again.
After that, home to make more stuff. It is really hard to decide how much I will need. I have never done this before. Oh well.....I will learn next week!
Everyone seems to be doing ok. I hope Nancy's cold is not too much trouble and having a 12 year old in the house will certainly perk things up!
Crystal----I hope you are feeling better. Each day should be a bit better than the last. Keeping busy and seeing friends is good. Liv is doing very well after her break-up. Nick seems to be at a loss for words when he sees her and she has a lunch date with a young man she met at the AirFest. She is still not looking for a relationship, but liked this guy and accepted the offer.
Everyone have a lovely day!
Good Morning,
The guys were here this morning to work on the new basement entry, but I see that they left. Hopefully it gets finished this week, as Hubert wants to start on the walls and roof this weekend.
No big plans for this week. I have a few errands to run, but that will be tomorrow I think. I need to get new tags for the car, and they aren't open on Monday.
So, what are your plans for today?
Hugs,
Thank you. :-)

Good afternoon and top of the day Nancy,
I've been somewhat MIA too from the Illinois Forum, but I've been around here and there posting and replying and replying and posting. Don't feel to bad about that my dear Nancy, as the saying goes...better late than never.
Sorry to hear that work is slow for you. I've been ready too (Stephen King book{s}) Good to hear that the book excellent for you, I like a good book to read.
The month of June is going to be a busy one for me in getting stuff/things together and done before I have my right hip worked on by the time July 8, 2014 comes around. I did some house cleaning and my aunt took me grocery shopping today. Now I'm having my dinner and enjoying myself right now.
Sounds like you enjoy having Ricks granddaughter over.
Sorry to hear that you got sick with a cold, I hope you feel better soon. Good to hear that you're doing better. Have a good time tomorrow. Sounds like a whole day of fun for tomorrow.
Have a great evening everyone.

Good Morning,
We were all wondering where you had been. It sounds like you have been busy too.
We enjoyed the picnic with Annette's company yesterday. Before we went, we stopped at Ottawa at thier "junk Sale" and farmers market. Nothing said buy me. Then, afterward, we stopped at Menard's and Lowes but all we got there is birdseed. We did get home before the rain hit.
This morning we were working on the pool and yard. I did dig up a garbage bag of dandilions, and then sprayed where I dug in case I missed any of the roots. I am at war against those pest.
Some kind of chicken for dinner, not sure what else.
Have a great day.
Hugs,
Congrats Good Sunday Morning Everyone!
I have been MIA way too long but I have been reading every day. It seems like by the time I get on here it is so late at nite and I think I will post tomorrow and when tomorrow comes .... Oh well.
Work has been slow. I have been doing some reading at work. Like Dawn, my latest book was The Fault Of the Stars. I got it after seeing the lead actress on the late show and saw a trailer for the movie. The book was excellent.
Connie, your shop will be open before you know it! I cant begin to imagine how excited you and Kay must be! This is such an adventure for you two!
Lisa, it sounds like you are enjoying your summer off already! Lots of activities planned already.
Crystal, I think you are doing a good job of keeping busy. I am so proud of you.
Dawn, you have gotten through some tough events in the past month. Congrats on staying strong. Have fun at Liv's party. Also congrats and good luck on your booth selling your homemade products. Someone here in this area went from doing that at craft events to opening their own store!
Sharon, it sounds like you are busy with your family. It is so good to hear that you are so involved with them again!
Carla, I hope the shingles are going away. They can be so painful! I know you need your Vinnie fix also!
We have Ricks granddaughter Cheyenne here with us until Tuesday. She is 12 and is a joy to have around. She loves the kitties! They love all the attention!
I took a few days off and promptly got sick with a cold. I stayed home and slept Friday and yesterday while Rick went to pick up Cheyenne. I am feeling better today. We are going on the canal boat and to the locks tomorrow. Out to dinner tonight to celebrate Ricks birthday.
Everyone have a great day!

Wow! Has it been four years ago today that I had my VSG (Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy) already? Yes it has been that long ago already. I can't believe it's been that long already. It only feels like it's been half that. I've done so much since then. Now I'm enjoying life every single day. I still have a road ahead of me. I need to have my left hip, right hip, right knee (total joint replacement {I already had my left knee replaced [total knee replacement in 2013]}. I've came a long way to a new me on this journey. My heaviest weight is 565 pounds, my pre-op weight two weeks before weight loss surgery (05/25/2010) is 476.4 pounds. I've lost 304.8 pounds from my pre-op weight and lost 393.4 pounds overall. On this journey I also had two rounds of Panniculectomy, from the first round 20 pounds of fat and skin had been removed and at the same time I had a ventral hernia repaired, from the second (2nd) round only a few pounds of fat and skin had been removed. I don't know what else to say...I'm now lost for words. I love my life now. Having weight loss surgery is the best decision I made in my life.

Good morning,
Does sounds like fun errands. I need to bum around (window shop) for at least something to get as far as Summer clothes goes. I need to some house cleaning off and on between today and next weekend. One of the things I'll be doing is that I'm going to do some reading out my Stephen King book: 11/22/63. I just got so much to do between now and the time I have my total right hip replacement next month, about 6 weeks after that I have another surgery to do a total right knee replacement. I just hope everything goes on as planned so I can get this over and done with, at some point after I have a total right hip replacement and a total right knee replacement I would have a total left hip replacement. To much going on for me.
I'm the same way with coffee as you are with tea, I like cold coffee. I tried green tea once and I didn't like it.
Sounds like a good idea for tonight.
I bet you do.
Have a great weekend everyone.
